Sister Shirley Sedawie NDS, OAM (1924 – 2011) was a member of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion, who succeeded in building bridges of understanding between the Catholic Church and Jewish people in Australia and beyond after World War II, and was a co-founder of CCJ Vic. After her passing in late 2011, CCJ Vic inaugurated the Annual Sister Shirley Sedawie Oration, which was first delivered in 2013 and has been an event that members have looked forward to each year since.
